Hello All,

I am new here, but I becoming very interested in vcs programming.
I'm still learning the basics, but I do have an idea for a game
for when I am ready to start it. I'll write a description below
if you want to read. I haven't checked out even close to all the
games out there, so I am curious if a game very similar to what
I'm thinking of already exists.

Here it goes...
I will call it Bricklayer for now.
There is a large wall of bricks. They are in rows and columns.
Above the wall is a ledge. On it is your player. He can run
left and right along the wall. Along the bottom of the screen
run critters. As they run by the wall, they bite out bricks of
the wall. The height of the column that brick was taken from
goes down by one. When a column has no bricks left in it, game
You try to kill the critters by shooting straight down at them
from the ledge. You can also repair the wall by climbing down
off the ledge to the bottom of a column of bricks, and then
hitting fire a certain number of times. The column will rise by
one brick. Of course while you are repairing, critters are
attacking the wall. Maybe you can still fire straight down while
There will be different kinds of critters that attack the wall
in different ways. Maybe one critter goes fast to the top of a
column and then eats its way straight down. Maybe another zig-
zags its way through the blocks.

What do you guys think? I'm still trying to come up with better
ideas, but I may go with this one.
