Might be worth stealing a page from the manual of music bootleggers and
set up a tree? Give 5 guys copies who make 5 guys second gen copies
(third gen overall), etc...
I personally like the idea of doing a Video CD. Its fairly easy to do
these days and duplication is very easy and quick with CD burners. The
format allows directly including bitmaps too so there would be a place to
put important diagrams. Plus, many DVD players will also play Video CDs.
