Here's the latest version of makewav with executables, source code and documentation.

So if Rob, Julian, or anyone else would like to port it to Linux, that sounds good to me. Bob requests that the modifications should maintain compatibility for Win32 or DOS. Whoever does it should use #ifdefs in the proper places so that code maintenance doesn't become a nightmare.
