Subject: [stella] Linux makewav 4.0 From: Rob <kudla@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Sun, 19 Aug 2001 01:34:34 -0400 |
I made makewav 4.0 build and run under Linux. Basically I did it by cutting the win32 globbing stuff out; it appears to work perfectly and very fast with any single binfile. I don't have a SC or CC handy yet to test the wav files it makes, but they sure sound right. Globbing is still broken under linux though. It recognizes when you pass it a lot of them (I tried a whole directory) and reports the number correctly, but coredumps before it creates the first WAV. I'm sure it's pointers 101 but I have had an overly long week. I surrounded the changed code with IFDEFs as requested. I guess my version should be considered unofficial until the globbing thing's fixed but at least we're back in action. You can download it at http://www.kudla.org/raindog/games/makewav40-linux-unofficial.tar.gz or wait till I send it in the next message, which I kept separate to avoid any binary filters that still may be out there. I included a binary built under stock Mandrake 7.2. Rob - Archives (includes files) at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/archives/ Unsub & more at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/
