Hi there!
There's some funny thread on AA right now, with some of
the regulars there talking about how great some better
bowling game would be.
They even created some mock-up screens and it looks not
too hard to realize.
So maybe if someone is looking for a new project, maybe
a doable beginners project, you should check it out:
