Okay, so the choices wrt to converting an NTSC game to PAL seem to be:

True PAL:
- Modify palette
- 312 scanlines
Pros:
- True PAL mode
Cons:
- Game will run slower (unless you mod it to compensate)
- Image will appear squished if you just add 50 extra blank scanlines (or you must stretch everything to fit screen properly)

PAL60
- Modify palette
- Leave scanlines at 262
Pros:
- A lot easier to do (No speed issues, no sprite/etc resizing)
Cons:
- Some (rare?) PAL tv's may not be able to handle 60hz signal at all.
- Will also appear squished except on multistandard tvs which can do a streched 60hz mode.
(If someone's using a multi-standard tv, won't they have an NTSC option anyway? So why not just keep it in NTSC?)

Does that sum it up? What has everyone else done as far as PAL/NTSC versions (true vs pseudo)?

Chris...
