Greetings! > Do you think it would be better to keep the current "final level screen" > with an added "game over" text and then display the hi-score on the title, > or just jump back to the title screen? It would probably be confusing to display your last score and level reached on the main screen in addition to the high score. I think I would keep the transition screen, with the addition of "Game Over" text. And then display just the high score on the title screen. > Well, I'm not really a fan of a "decreasing" score, it's a bit confusing IMO > :) Actually I wasn't thinking of showing your entire score decreasing, just the amount of points you can earn on the level you are playing. So if you can potentially earn 5,000 on a level, then this "counter" would start at 5,000 and then gradually count down as time runs out, you lose a life, etc. I do understand that without an explanation this might be a little confusing at first. It would be less confusing if this number was displayed on the screen between levels, added to your previous score and then a new total shown. But now I'm just making things too complex. :D > Let me know how it feels with and Atari joystick if you get the chance to > try my game with it, since I also don't usually play the game with original > Atari sticks (maybe beacuse they're all broken? :) Will do. Now I really need to break those out since Paul has reached Level 24, and probably beyond by now. :) Take care and Happy New Year! ..Al ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Archives (includes files) at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/archives/ Unsub & more at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/
