True, IIRC only about 15..20. But as you said, the hotspot bytes
are also a problem.

And who will *check* that? Why not let the emulators do the work?

Well, if you don't find the complete checksum in your database, then you
could recalculate it for each possible (e.g. based on ROM size) RAM
method. That shouldn't be a big problem.

And that would work for the hotspots too.
