I'll think about it since my old PII 350 motherboard is sitting unused in my closet now. I could bring that back to life purely as a 2600 dev box running TextPad and the rest but do all my general purpose computing on my other box.

I wish there were a way to run DOS in an emulation within XP that is actually 100% compatible. I don't see why it can't just abstract away the BIOS, the IRQs, and the rest of the hardware just as if it were treating the environment as if it were a completely foreign system (like a PPC MAC or something). So you let DOS _THINK_ it's hitting the hardware when it's just hitting virtual hardware.
