I wrote the F8 backend for DASM which required some ugly hackery and gave up on a Z80 backend. Especially DASM's expression evaluator is too 6502 (and similar CPUs) specific. And it's also broken. Apart from that broken expression evaluator there isn't any infrastructure to write handcrafted parsers.
