I was thinking the same thing.  You'd have a lot more fudge time between updating left PF0 and right PF0 if the PF is not reflected.

I can, however, appreciate the need for a reflected asymmetrical playfield because that's what I'm using in Reflex... I'm just not repositioning sprites in my game kernel.
