Subject: Re: (dsssl) Unicode input transforms into 0 kB Files - ASCI works fine From: "Lutz Pliske" <pliske@xxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 06 Sep 2001 13:59:48 +0200 |
Hi Tony - hi all, setting SP_ENCODING=utf-8 didn´t help. Jade is still producing errors like: jade:descript.sgm:1:0:E: non SGML character number 255 jade:descript.sgm:1:1:E: character "þ" not allowed in prolog jade:descript.sgm:8:0:E: non SGML character number 0 jade:descript.sgm:8:2:E: non SGML character number 0 jade:descript.sgm:8:3:E: character ">" not allowed in prolog jade:descript.sgm:19:0:E: non SGML character number 0 The SGML-File starts like this: <!DOCTYPE MAIN SYSTEM 'mydtd.dtd' []> <MAIN> .... so I don´t see the problem. Confusing to me is that everything works fine when the sgml-file is saved as asci. Does the SGML-File has to have a special <!SGML - declaration?
