I guess we should back up a bit.

1) What version of JATS are you using?
2) Why do you need to identify a bioarXiv ID -- display purposes? Is it for a
machine or a human?

I think its worth noting that @pub-id-type is only unrestricted on
<article-id> in Archiving (Green). If Mike is using Publishing (Blue) or
Authoring (Pumpkin), the attribute is an enumerated list that does not include
biorxiv.

For JATS versions without the assigning-authority attribute I'd follow the
suggestion from the 1.1 documentation and insert bioarxiv as the pub-id-type
