Firstly, let me just say that I have no objections to the use of Python;
horses for courses, to each his/her own , etc, etc.

I thought I'd follow up these links.  Firstly, I agree completely with you
on Perl ;-)  However, for the former link (on how Tcl is bad) I couldn't
even get to Adam Sah's paper and Dan Connelly's turns out to be five
years old
(dated 1994).  Tcl has changed enormously since then (it's twice as old) so
perhaps it is time for a re-evaluation?  Tcl 8.1 now has Unicode so that must
be a point in its favour!
