Why let that stop you? Controller hacks are already a little more than
hacks, IMHO.
I don't think that that could cause any problems. I see them as two
switches who are simply ORed together.
I guess the advantage to that is if you tapped the fire button off the Y
adapter you could create a footpedal switch for acceleration.
But if someone were to go that far, it would be better off making an
entirely custom controller complete with a real steering wheel.
Anyone know where to get a quadrature encoder with a THICK center that
could work with a steering wheel?
