I guess I wasn't crazy about
the 2nd controller idea, I think the hack and slash angle is more fun.

I agree. I'd rather have the spells activated by something like:

BUTTON+UP = Heal
BUTTON+DOWN = Fireball or Invincibility (whichever one you've got)

I think it needs a little polish, but it's a nice game. I'll play it more and post more thoughts later.
