There are (usually) 37 lines of VBLANK time in each Actually I think line 0 in PCAE is the first line that is displayed on the PC monitor. To make things even more complicated, you can change that line at runtime by shifting the screen up and down. And if you have the autocenter function in PCAE activated, then different games will start displaying at different scanlines (counting from the VSYNC), depending on how many scanlines per frame they do and how many displayble scanlines they have.
